Some interesting C++ links:
Free C++ compilers
The Cygnus GNU-Win32 Project page
This is where the Win32 port started. Essentially supports a Unix-like
development environment on NT and Win9x.
The MinGW Project
The new home page of the MinGW Project, home of the
MinGW version of GNU gcc for Windows by Mumit Khan.
This is the main site for the latest versions of the MinGW version
of the GNU g++ compiler. The latest is the newly merged g++/egcs
compiler. This is the current best free C++ compiler available for
NT/Windows.
Borland BCC 5.5
The Borland C++ Compiler 5.5 is available at
http://www.borland.com/bcppbuilder/freecompiler/. You have
to fill out a bunch of web forms, and eventually get to download
the compiler. The download is about 8 Megabytes long.
More useful info about the Borland compiler is available here at Object Central: Borland Compiler Info.
Pascal Coudert's BCC 5.5 Site
This site has a pretty nice document about getting and setting
up BCC 5.5. That information isn't much different than what is
here, but the site also has
some other nice tutorial
information. Highly recommended.
