Mathtools.net is the technical computing portal for all scientific and engineering needs. The portal is provided as a free service to the scientific community and contains useful links for technical computing programmers. Includes info about MATLAB and other scientific algorithms and libraries in C/C++, Fortran, Java, and more. Good site.
One of the tasks I had while developing this site was finding the necessary tools to build a decent Web page. I think I have succeeded in designing a fairly good Web page. It wasn't as easy as it might have seemed. One goal was to get a nice page up as quickly as possible. I wanted to use Java, but that proved too hard. There are hundreds of Java applets and other tools available, but only a few are worth anything. I will eventually add some links for good free Java stuff.
This section has some links useful for developing your own web pages.
With V release 1.21, I switched all the documentation from LaTeX to pure HTML. This resulted in a much more useful manual for online use, but eliminated an easy way to get a printed version. HTMLDOC to the rescue!
This GPLed freeware program is one of the best programs I've found in a long time. It lets you enter a list of HTML files, and will produce a complete PDF or PostScript version of those files, along with a nice automatically generated table of contents. If you have HTML pages that you'd like to have in a printable format, this is the perfect ticket.
This is now my free Web page editor of choice. It is pretty good, free, and small. Try it.
